Sales Manager Vaccines

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Manager – Vaccines to lead and coordinate a team of medical representatives promoting our vaccine portfolio within an assigned territory. This leadership role is critical in driving both qualitative and quantitative business objectives, managing resources effectively, and fostering the professional and scientific development of your team.

As a Sales Manager, you will play a strategic role in developing customer-centric solutions, implementing promotional activities, and organizing scientific medical symposia, events, and congresses. You will build and nurture collaborative partnerships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders, ensuring all activities comply with Romanian legislation, internal policies, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Business and Territory Management

Anticipate shifts in customer behavior and market trends; collaborate closely with marketing and office teams to plan and execute aligned activities.Develop, prioritize, and implement short-, medium-, and long-term territorial plans consistent with the marketing strategy.Analyze business results, monitor competitors, and identify growth drivers or barriers within the territory.Maintain open and constructive communication with your team, colleagues, and management to ensure progress and alignment.Ensure medical representatives’ daily activities align with business plans and marketing recommendations.Evaluate client needs continuously and adjust resource allocation accordingly.Support market research projects and ensure accurate, timely reporting of activities and results.Identify and develop strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the territory.Serve as a role model, leading by example in professionalism and business conduct.Coordinate team activities in line with Business Unit strategies and ensure data accuracy in customer information.

Team Management

Lead recruitment, onboarding, and integration of new team members.Manage and evaluate team performance, providing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.Hold team members accountable for achieving individual and regional objectives.Prepare and submit activity reports, managerial analyses, and statistics as required.Spend approximately 80% of your working time in the field, actively supporting and guiding your team.Communicate team changes promptly to relevant stakeholders.

Ethics and Compliance

Demonstrate advanced knowledge of business regulations and compliance in complex situations.Ensure full compliance—both personally and within the team—with company policies, EFPIA standards, ARPIM Code of Ethics, and Romanian laws.Promote ethical behavior and adherence to internal and external regulations.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience:

University degree (preferably in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or related fields).Proven sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably with vaccines.Experience in team coordination and leadership.Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical products, customer base, and business environment.Fluency in English (verbal and written).Basic knowledge of finance and budget control.Strong management and leadership skills.Excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.Results-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.Expertise in segmentation, territory management, and relevant technical skills.
