Sales Manager Motor Industry
The main purpose of this position is to manage all the New and Used Car Sales for the company in terms of:  financials and profitability, new vehicle ordering and prospect and stock management, marketing, advertising and communications, new product launches, and Customer promotions events. To maximise all opportunities with new and existing Customers to ensure long-term business relations are established and maintained.

Requirements: Tertiary qualification specifically in Management and /or Sales Management would be a distinct advantage Proven experience in automotive sales management, ideally within a premium/luxury brand environment Demonstrable success in achieving commercial targets and managing high-performing sales teams Proven experience in customer communications,  Marketing and New product launches Proven experience in financial management in a Dealership environment In-depth knowledge of vehicle funding, finance products, and F&I compliance Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and leadership capability Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Competent in DMS/CRM systems (e.g. CDK, Keyloop, Dealerweb, Salesforce etc.) Duties will include, but not be limited to: Ensure to establish & maintain relationships with our clients, colleagues and suppliers. Maximise / Optimise all sales, prospecting and footfall opportunities Maintain/increase the Customer Database (new and existing) Maintain/improve the Customer Satisfaction measures Maximise the impact of all Promotional and Launch events Incremental growth in Sales opportunities for Stellenbosch and Company Brand Ensure that all monthly targets (dealership and Company SA) are achieved Ensure that departmental expenses are within prescribed budgets Sales Strategy & Performance: Monitor performance KPIs (conversion rates, profitability, finance penetration, etc.) and take corrective action when needed.      Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform pricing, offers, and stock management Financial Management Maximise profitability across all areas of the department, including vehicle margin, add-on products, and finance. Work closely with the Accountant/Finance Manager to manage budgets, forecasts, and department ROI Control costs and ensure financial compliance and reporting integrity. Compliance & Standards Ensure full compliance with FICA regulations, data protection, health & safety, and brand requirements. Oversee the proper execution of Company’s operational standards and audits. General Managing the negotiation process with Sales Executives ensuring that customers understand their vehicle purchase options and pricing. Appraising vehicles for trade. Managing all three areas of customer traffic: Showroom, E-Commerce, and Phones. Partnering with Dealer Principal to plan and manage new and used vehicle inventory.  Assisting in managing controllable expense elements for the New and Used Vehicle Departments.  Analysing the business to determine shortfalls and developing action plans to improve performance.
