A Sales Manager – Leisure & MICE is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and managing key accounts in the Leisure and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) segments. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of sales strategies in line with the hotel’s luxury standards.

\nThe Sales Manager – Leisure & MICE role requires a strategic approach to sales, market analysis, competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business and customer engagement to position the hotel as a preferred destination for leisure and MICE business. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
\n\nProactively source and secure new business in the Leisure and MICE segments.\nDevelop and maintain relationships with key travel agencies, tour operators, corporate clients, event planners and destination management companies.\nConduct sales calls, client meetings, site inspections, and hotel presentations to generate new business.\nRepresent the hotel at industry trade shows, networking events, and roadshows to increase brand awareness and market share.\nNegotiate and finalize contracts with clients while ensuring profitability and alignment with hotel revenue strategies.\nBuild and nurture strong, long-term client relationships to ensure repeat business.\nProvide personalized service and seamless communication to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.\nWork closely with internal departments such as Events, Revenue and Operations to ensure smooth execution of group bookings and events.\nMonitor competitor activities and market trends to adjust sales strategies accordingly.\nCollaborate with the Revenue Management team to implement optimal pricing and yield strategies.\nAchieve and exceed sales targets through proactive prospecting and strategic account management.\nPrepare sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to support strategic decision-making.\nWhat are we looking for

\n\nMinimum 3-5 years of experience in sales within a high-end or luxury hotel, resort, or destination management company, specializing in Leisure and MICE segments. \nProven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, with a focus on developing and maintaining high-value client relationships. \nIn-depth understanding of the Leisure and MICE markets, including key travel agencies, tour operators, corporate clients, and event planners, both locally and internationally. \nStrong knowledge of market trends, competitive landscape, and sales strategies specific to luxury hospitality and event management. \nExceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple high-profile accounts and events simultaneously. \nStrategic thinker with creativity and an innovative approach to sales, client engagement, and partnership development. \nFormal training or certifications in Sales, Hospitality Management, or a related field are an advantage.\nFormal sales training or equivalent certifications.\nExceptional leadership and organizational skills.\nStrong creativity and passion for service innovation.\nAbility to manage stress in a high-pressure environment.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nKeen eye for detail and commitment to quality.\n\nWhat will it be like to work for Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts
