The Sales Manager position is a critical support and leadership role within the business center. This position is primarily responsible for managing daily sales operations along with coordinating the efforts of the Area Sales Managers. This is a developmental role that will prepare the candidate for advancement into various senior management positions. To that effect, the candidate may temporarily act as backfill for open positions (marketing, sales ops, supply chain, ASM...etc.). While the candidate will be involved in long-term strategic planning, the main thrust behind the role is to manage all facets of daily sales operations, as well as develop, train, and manage a team of Area Sales Managers within the Business Center.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree 8+ years of experience in the automotive industry 2+ years of sales management experience 2+ years of sales experience in a metro market Field operations or marketing experience Must have a clear understanding of the field's role in driving retail sales, wholesale and profitability for the company Extensive dealer facing experience (Area Manager-District Manager) Prior retail and/or OEM experience Prior retail solutions/activation sales experience Ability to evaluate/provide constructive feedback from dealer contacts Strong written and oral communications Ability to multi-task and organize priorities Leadership and training expertise Strategic forward planningPreferred Qualifications:
4+ years of marketing experience Experience in sales operations, small business, incentives, marketing and (or) product marketing in a business center environment
