Designation: Manager – Sales (OEM)
Department: Sales & Service – OEM
Reporting To: Deputy General Manager – Sales & Marketing
Location: Pune, India
Job PurposeTo profitably develop and refine lubricant sales and marketing strategies for OEM and genuine oil business through planned customer visits and account management in the assigned region.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage and grow OEM business with key accounts, ensuring long-term partnerships.
Develop new business opportunities by building strong relationships with OEMs.
Handle global and local RFQs, including costing, pricing, and market insights.
Provide technical support and arrange successful field trials for customer applications.
Collect and analyze competitive intelligence on pricing, credit terms, sales volume, and market share.
Prepare and recommend customer credit terms for approval.
Coordinate with technical, commercial, and logistics teams for smooth order processing and timely delivery.
Forecast sales, prepare budgets, monitor variances, and take corrective actions.
Lead and support team members by setting expectations, monitoring performance, and conducting training.
Stay updated with industry trends, technical developments, and market requirements.
QualificationsEducation:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering (mandatory)
MBA / PGDBM in Marketing (preferred)
Experience:
Minimum 10+ years of experience in Sales, preferably in Automotive / Automobile industry
Strong background in OEM sales management, product development, testing, and field trials (including PPAP)
Desired Skills & CompetenciesStrong technical knowledge of automotive products and OEM specifications
Excellent commercial acumen, result-oriented, and profit-focused
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint); SAP knowledge preferred
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills
Willingness to travel extensively within assigned regions
