Position Overview:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic account plans to secure growth and profitable sales targets. Builds multi-dimensional relationships with customers. Leads sales team to achieve short and long-term plans related to people performance and growth of the business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
Leads the implementation of customer, sales, marketing and other cross-functional plans for new and existing accounts to seek new business opportunities and maintain current business. Leads and directs sales team in conjunction with other functions to maximize profitable sales. Develop talent and succession plans through training, coaching, mentoring and leading of direct sales reports. Develops and execute a comprehensive sales and trade spend plan. Execute pricing strategy. Leads customer negotiations.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field. Business mayor acceptable depending on work experience. 10+ years of experience in food industry sales. At least 5 of them in B2B. 5+ years of experience leading people. Proven experience leading complex high stakes negotiations. Proven experience developing joint business plans with customers. S&OP/IBP process experience. Regional or Global account management experience. Salesforce or similar CRM/Project Management tool experience, preferred. Advanced/fluent English (spoken and written).
