Job Description

ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

You manage and lead the Sales team. You will drive overall top-line goals by maintaining and growing strategic and national accounts.  You will be responsible for achieving optimum budgeted sales on a National, Global and/or Strategic level, consistent with budgeted profit and selling expenses. 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

 

Team Management 

Leading Malaysia sales team of 2 to 5 members. 

Effectively coaching, teaching, and developing solid Sales and negotiation skills within the sales team

Oversee team to ensure they are proactively identifying new accounts using screening techniques, referrals, and prospecting to potential customers.

Coordinate team efforts, create and manage a regional strategy and team operating plan.

Train and provide development opportunities for members.

Monitor and evaluate team members, and adjust training where needed.

Act as a team role model and change-agent.

Positively lead and influence team members to partner together to achieve individual and business goals.

 

Strategy and Execution 

Developing and implementing long-term Sales strategies that are geared toward developing greater market share and profitability

Align the sales department to meet the sales and margin plans.

Work with prospective customers to identify unmet needs, implement initiatives to meet those needs, leading to successful sales.

Prepare and manage sales, margin, and expense budgets.

Translate market trends and customer needs into actionable goals that create a competitive advantage.

Coordinate sales service with other service departments and operating areas like customer service, QA, Planning and Finance.

Define the value proposition to the market, customers and industry including service, price and product platform strategies.

Develop and execute appropriate business plans/multi-generation product plans to identify trends, opportunities for marketplace advantage, and new ideas for products, processes and services.

Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree required.

10+ years related experience of sales and account management

Experience in handling a team. 

Skilled in effectively coaching, teaching, and developing solid Sales and negotiation skills within the sales team.

Solid business acumen; ability to understand short and long-term consequences.

Demonstrated successful experience in a sales position that involved negotiating complex transactions with upper-level management positions or similar experience.

Skilled in conducting required territory analysis and planning.  Skilled in developing sales penetration and growth strategies at targeted accounts.

Excellent customer needs assessment skills.  

Expert negotiation skills/experience.

Excellent financial skills and business acumen.

Skilled in conducting territory analysis and planning.

Ability to work independently with little supervision.

Broad-based understanding of how to manage territory business.

Skilled in communicating effectively with all levels of management on complex business issues.
