The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Sales Manager to join our team at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on driving direct business to the hotel, developing local partnerships, and playing a vital role in growing group and corporate bookings. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for hospitality sales, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to close.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Conduct daily outbound sales calls and follow-ups with potential and existing clients.
+ Actively prospect from in-house guest lists to identify repeat and group business opportunities.
+ Drive new and repeat Local Negotiated Rate (LNR) accounts with local businesses.
+ Respond promptly and professionally to all group leads, bids, and RFPs via brand systems, third-party channels, or direct inquiries.
+ Manage all aspects of group reservations including contracting, room blocks, and ensuring guest satisfaction pre-arrival.
+ Build strong relationships with front desk and back of house teams to ensure seamless guest and client experiences.
+ Represent the hotel at community events, networking functions, and local business outreach opportunities.
+ Achieve monthly sales goals for group room nights and LNR accounts.
Job Requirements:
+ Previous hotel sales or front desk experience strongly preferred.
+ Marriott system knowledge (e.g., MARSHA, OneSource, MarRFP etc.) is a significant plus.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Comfortable making cold calls, managing client relationships, and working toward clear sales targets.
+ Highly organized with a results-driven mindset.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
+ Able to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
