**The Position**
The Head of Sales is responsible for building and maintaining a high performance sales organization to effectively achieve business success and strategy implementation.
**Tasks & responsibilities**
+ **Drive business success by:**
+ Driving sales and market share target achievements maximizing the number of appropriate patients that receive Boehringer Ingelheim products.
+ Reviewing and analyzing Country performance creating appropriate strategies/plans to maximize available opportunities.
+ Reviewing and evaluating the implementation of the sales tactical plan taking corrective measures when necessary.
+ Monitoring market developments and competitors initiatives.
+ Reviewing and controlling the sales organization costs and promotional investments against budget and implements corrective measures if necessary.
+ Lead and develop its people by providing guidance, coaching and appropriate knowledge in a team of a high level of engagement.
+ **Ensure that optimal sales processes are in place by:**
+ Defining, allocating and approving sales targets for District and Sales Representatives
+ Cooperating cross functionally giving feedback from the field and proposing new activities
+ Monitoring the implementation and follow up of customer engagement plans, using all available channels
+ Actively looking for business opportunities
+ Assessing field processes and procedures and identifying areas for improvement
+ Coordinating the implementation of new processes and procedures to improve efficiency and increase productivity
+ Lead total adherence with the policy, procedures and rules, performing all company business in accordance with the local policies
**Requirements**
+ University Degree
+ At least 5 years of experience in similar positions leading teams.
+ Stakeholder management: retail and institutional channel.
+ Previous experience in the pharmaceutical sector.
+ Market knowledge in Ecuador
+ Advanced data analysis and ability to make decisions based on such analysis.
+ High influence and resilience, ability to manage under pressure.
+ Proven business analysis and judgment with the ability to proactively manage business and budget to meet objectives.
+ Strategic development, project management, key account management, problem solving, and change management skills.
+ Exceptional negotiation skills.
+ Autonomy, decisiveness, sense of urgency and ability to resolve and overcome hurdles and challenges
+ Knowledge in Veeva.
+ Intermediate level of English.
