**Job Description:**
**BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:**
Responsible for supervising and driving a passionate sales team on the assigned territories covering the Ethicon Portfolio. Provides strong leadership, mentorship, and customer product expertise to the sales team. Meets or exceeds established team sales goals through the implementation of sales activities. In addition, the role will also be heavily involved in launching new products. At this level, the role has increased responsibility including, but not limited to, additional skills, multiple lines/products, diverse teams, etc. This job is eligible for sales incentives/sales commission.
**REPORTING LINE**
This position reports to Business Unit Manager, Ethicon
**PEOPLE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Manage team of sales representatives on the assigned territory.
+ Manage staffing and training.
+ Conduct performance evaluations.
+ Coach and motivate a sales team to achieve business goals.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Support the strategic direction for Ethicon business unit for Singapore.
+ Set and manage sales strategies for the assigned accounts and execute the strategies through the sales team.
+ Align with Product Managers and implement marketing objectives, policies, sales organization structure, sales and marketing programs to achieve maximum sales and profit.
+ Portfolio optimization for the accounts to ensure NPIs are launched timely to refresh current product offerings to customers.
+ Coaching conversations with the sales team to drive sales force productivity and utilizing integrity selling model to achieve business objectives.
+ Develop and monitor departmental budgets.
+ Managing discount and pricing policy
+ Communicate and track short and long range sales and marketing plans.
+ Research new markets and applications for volume growth.
+ Spend 70% of their time in the field with staff.
+ Experience in contracts renewal negotiations with government.
+ Consistently promote and nurture the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and compliance at all times, including our Global Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and related policies and procedures.
**REQUIREMENTS**
+ University/Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent, MBA is an advantage
+ Requirement of 6-7years in medical device sales
+ 1-3 years of sales management experience preferred
+ A strong team player with excellent interpersonal, communication & presentation skills.
+ Strong, demonstrated leadership qualities, driven by a passion to excel in a customer-centric and innovative organization.
+ Willing to work on weekends.
**Desirable characteristics**
+ Degree in Business, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences are preferred.
+ Sales experience / technical knowledge in medical devices or related products
+ Launch excellence and marketing experience in medical devices is valued.
