Location/Division Specific InformationThis role will be based in Australia, ideally in Melbourne or Sydney
About the Role:Provide strategic sales leadership to a team of Product Specialists across our Laboratory Equipment business, operating in key market verticals including academic research, clinical and industrial. You’ll support the team to develop and implement strategic territory and customer plans, working directly to build customer value, and coaching the team in the field to support and implement business outcomes.
What Will You Do?
Provide mentorship and in-field support to develop a strong sales team to capture share gain in strategic markets, and build long term customer value.Be responsible for commercial execution of portfolio strategy, sales forecasting and achievement of financial targets, actively managing the development of a strong sales funnel.Establish strong customer relationships, work with the sales team to negotiate successful outcomes on high value opportunities, take part in strategic growth projects, and collaborate across all Thermo Fisher functions.Build a customer centric and energized team culture, with a focus to understanding customer workflows to enhance value and business outcomes.Keys to Success:Sales leadership experience within the scientific industry, or a closely affiliated industry.
Track record in driving business growth in a global and matrix organization, through strong implementation of strategy.
Proven success in mentoring and developing impactful teams in a fast-paced environment.
Formal qualifications are required, including a Science degree or equivalent experience.
