About the Role:

As a Sales Lead, you will play a crucial role in unlocking client business opportunities, identifying growth areas, and supporting strategic account planning. You will provide essential line management to Account Managers and Account Executives, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the retail, marketing, media, or retail media industries, and a proven track record of managing a sales pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact. Deliver excellent client service to encourage growth and drive customer satisfaction. Account Planning: Collaborate with the Client Director to develop and execute strategic account plans, ensuring alignment with client objectives and driving account margin improvement. Upsell and Cross-Sell: Identify and capitalize on opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional services, projects, or solutions, contributing to revenue growth. Support new business initiatives. Team Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of 8-10 direct reports, supporting their day-to-day task delivery and fostering a collaborative environment. Market Insight and Innovation: Stay informed about retail media industry trends, insights, and competitive dynamics to provide strategic recommendations and evolve retail media campaigns. Media Sales: Seek, create, and deliver new revenue opportunities across a diverse portfolio of FMCG and non-endemic suppliers. Convert leads into revenue, proactively identify process improvements, and support team members in achieving sales targets. Forecasting and Reporting: Conduct accurate forecasting by supplier and category, reporting findings to senior stakeholders and highlighting opportunities, risks, and incremental growth prospects. Campaign Planning and Execution: Utilize historic campaign performance and media planning processes to deliver successful campaigns, challenging briefs when necessary. Collaborate with Insight and reporting colleagues to provide performance analysis and identify optimization opportunities.
