Sales Key Account Manager

Platinum Group Metal Services (PGMS) is a leading refiner and recycler of precious group metals. The growing demand for low carbon and responsibly sourced products is creating growth opportunities in critical metals recycling and secondary refining, and as the world’s largest precious metals recycler, PGMS is a key player in the circular economy.

PMM is the Trading arm of the JM business, its scope is to ensure the constant supply of metal to the manufacturing arms while providing an outlet for the Refining business.

Job purpose

The purpose of this role is to continue our committed PGMs service providing to customers and develop new sales opportunities for PGM metals.

Principal accountabilitiesActively contact customers and understand their needs with timely collecting market information. Maintain good relationship with established customers and keep the business running smoothly.

Develop new accounts and aim for new business to grow external metal sales business including onshore sales opportunities for SH desk and offshore sales opportunities for HK desk. Contribute to the sales pipelines, updating opportunities and status in China.

Prepare the commercial proposal with target to win the business. Coordinate with group legal to create metal account for customers.

Prepare, maintain, and update metal sales contracts for customers. Secure contract compliance, accurate, performability aligned with PMM business process and metal trading status.  Coordinate internally and externally to start up the transaction and well maintain it.

TRAVEL

The role is based in Shanghai and business travel with around 50% frequency.

Bachelor degree or above level qualification (or equivalent) in Chemicals, or related fieldAbove 3years experience of sales or marketingGood written and oral EnglishProficient computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPointStrong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detailsGood organizing and planning skills
