Sales Engineer - Marine

Job Description Faststream are working with a global OEM who are looking to hire a talented Sales Engineer to join their marine division, based in London in the UK. This is a full time permanent role, with hybrid working on offer (3 days in office, 2 from home).
In this client-facing role, you will act as a vital link between our customers and internal teams, providing technical sales support and driving business growth. You’ll play a key part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality marine solutions tailored to client requirements, while staying ahead of industry trends and innovations.
Responsibilities
Technical Sales Support: Respond to client enquiries with accurate technical information related to marine equipment and systems. Prepare detailed quotations and proposals aligned with customer needs. Negotiation and Reporting: Participate in contract negotiations and sales reports/ forecasting, involving pricing and terms. Project Coordination: Liaise with departments such as R&D, production, and quality assurance to ensure that products and services meet technical and commercial expectations. Client Relationship Management: Foster and maintain long-term relationships with clients through regular communication and reliable service. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams—including engineering, logistics, and workshop departments—to ensure timely and accurate product delivery. Industry Engagement: Represent the company at relevant industry events, exhibitions, and seminars. Stay up to date with the latest market developments, marine technologies, and client expectations. Requirements
Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is desirable but not essential. A proven track record in sales within the marine industry. Hands-on experience with marine machinery, navigational systems, or similar marine technologies. Strong understanding of industry standards, compliance, and engineering principles. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop lasting client relationships. Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset. What We Offer
