Main Objective:
Primarily responsible for creating, generating, and developing business opportunities with key end customers in the mining, construction, and transportation sectors, as well as in the fuel and hydraulic filtration markets. This includes monitoring commercial activities through distributors and providing technical support to end users, distributors, and their internal teams in the Engine Aftermarket segment. Also responsible for driving the development of the fuel and hydraulic filtration market.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Support Engine Aftermarket sales
• Coordinate visit plans and activities with Territory Managers
• Convert competitor accounts to Donaldson by providing technical information on product benefits and conducting oil analysis tests
• Visit retailers and end users to promote our products in the assigned region
• Organize and deliver technical product training for distributors, customers, sales teams, and maintenance personnel
• Manage and follow up on warranty claims for Aftermarket and OE
• Participate in trade shows, conventions, and other events where Donaldson requires technical representation
• Provide technical support via phone, email, and in person to distributors and end users
• Advise on product applications, as well as air intake, exhaust, and hydraulic systems
• Provide detailed technical product information
• Assist in the creation and/or translation of brochures and documents containing technical content
• Coordinate and monitor field tests
• Identify new product equivalents, verifying applications, specifications, and performance versus competitors
• Support the creation of technical data sheets for Aftermarket and OE products
• Assist in the introduction of new products
• Research Donaldson equivalents for competitor products
• Investigate applications for competitor products without existing equivalents
• Research applications for new Donaldson Aftermarket and OE products
• Keep Customer Service updated on discontinued or obsolete part numbers and recommend possible replacements
• Update the Global Database with relevant technical and product information
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of internal combustion engines
• Knowledge of fluids, hydraulics, and fuels
• Experience in the automotive industry, with a solid understanding of mechanical systems
• Knowledge of diesel engine lubricants
• Familiarity with equipment operation
• Eligibility to visit mining operations
Minimum Qualifications:
• 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• 2–3 years of experience in the fluid and hydraulic markets
• Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
