Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Application Engineer to interact with customers and address their needs by designing custom solutions. This role involves quoting custom-designed springs, analyzing customer specifications, and ensuring high product quality while maintaining inventory accuracy and safety compliance.
ResponsibilitiesCommunicate with customers via phone, email, and in-person to understand their needs and provide solutions.Analyze customer needs to design springs or determine manufacturing processes and costs while validating designs.Review and process customer orders, ensuring manufacturing costs align with historical quotes.Determine raw material and finished goods requirements and order materials as necessary.Update older quotes based on material costs, production speeds, and external service expenses.Understand manufacturing costs and market conditions to adjust customer pricing as needed.Coordinate weekly freight shipments for wire materials.Ensure high product quality, inventory accuracy, and safety compliance.Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines and exceed customer expectations.Essential SkillsMechanical aptitudeMechanical drafting and design skillsExperience with estimation and quotingCustomer-facing or sales background, or willingness to engage with customersAdditional Skills & QualificationsTechnical sales experienceDrafting/design expertiseSpring design knowledgeSales engineering proficiencyWork Environment
This position is primarily office-based, with some visual exposure to materials on site. The role involves working closely with customers and focusing on quoting and designing proposals. The company is in a growth phase, offering opportunities for career advancement and upward mobility.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
