Sales Engineer

Purpose of the position

 

You are the technical expert for hooklift systems at Hiab. You work with sales to provide tailor-made advice. This involves preparing quotations and processing orders based on technical specifications and prices. After the sale, you work out all the details and keep an overview of the delivery of the chassis, hooklift system and reserved body-building capacity. A dynamic process right up to delivery to the customer. A commercial position within the Sales Business Support department (90% internal), where you are primarily technically oriented. You want to and can be the link between the field service, work preparation, planning and body-building. You work on beautiful end products, and if you love trucks, you will certainly have a great time at Hiab. You will be happy when you see our products, which you previously only saw in drawings, driving on the road. Do you recognize yourself in this?

 

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

Preparing commercial technical quotations Performing calculations in Trailerwin Creating body-building drawings with AutoCAD Performing PTO/pump calculations Final check on technical compatibility Technical processing of orders Preparing material and hour budgets Coordinating the planning of chassis, hooklift system, and internal or external body-building capacity Management and point of contact for your own projects, internally and externally.

 

What you’ll need to succeed

 

Technical insight and the ability to translate customer wishes and requirements into concrete HIAB solutions, within the applicable laws and regulations
MBO-4 or HBO technical education You are a recent graduate and a passionate "truck enthusiast" and/or have experience as a sales engineer in a comparable industry Good listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions You are persuasive You can work with CRM systems or sales tools (such as Salesforce) You work independently and can collaborate in a team You have a reliable, responsible, and respectful work attitude and personality Living in the area of Meppel (NL).
