Summary:
The Sales Director will be the main AS&UX Sales interface for a Global OEM. The Sales Director is responsible for leading sales strategies and managing customer relationships. The role involves setting and executing account strategies that focus on profitable growth, aligning product portfolios with market needs, and leading negotiations, including commercial contracts and pricing. Additionally, the Sales Director oversees bookings, revenue, and profitability targets, serves as the primary escalation point for customer relations, and leads a team of account managers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to end commercial execution process driving customer interactions, opportunity identification, pursuit, change management, escalation, and launch to ensure P&L performance in line with targets.Maintain strong relationships with key decision makers within customer org to influence product choices and purchase decisionsEnable direct reports to meet and exceed commercial plan with high level of job satisfactionDevelop and implement sales account strategies targeting profitable growth in line with AS&UX business objectives. Set pricing strategies and manage revenue and budget planning.Ensure a consistent product portfolio that aligns with AS&UX technology roadmap that meet customer and market requirements.Serve as the primary escalation point for customer relations.Oversee customer accounts receivable management for the channel.Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Sales Leadership role for a Tier one Automotive Supplier.Experience working within a large global matrix organization with multiple stakeholders. Experience leading negotiations, including commercial agreements, contracts, and pricing discussions to achieve bookings, revenue, and profitability targets.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.A proactive, sales-driven mindset.A Bachelor’s degree in Sales, engineering or a business-related field.Experience in multi-country or multi-cultural environments, demonstrating strong diplomacy skills.Ability to lead and influence across various organizational levels, including the Executive Leadership Team.Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPointAbility to prioritize and manage large and varied workloadsMust reside in the metro Detroit area with ability to work on site.Preferred Qualifications:
