Sales Director - Taiwan, has the overall responsibility of building and managing the entire sales department including On-Premise, Off-Premise (Key Accounts) and Wholesale channels as well as the entire Sales Operations support. The successful candidate will use their sales management and leadership skills to effectively drive the growth and development of both brands within all channels and people within the sales department itself. A significant role shall be played to develop the company’s future strategic direction by being a member of the Taiwan Leadership Team, while upholding the vision and values of the company in the everyday execution of the company’s sales strategy.
What You Can Expect
Strategic Guidance:
Provide guidance to the sales department by devising and implementing short, medium and long term strategies across all channelsGive value adding insights and be a key member in defining our RTM strategiesDevelop and implement sales operation programs and analytical tools to effectively deliver growth and analysis for the cause and effect of resultsMeeting strategic and financial goals by effectively managing resourcesCommunicates company’s vision and strategies and manage the performance and development of the Sales department staffEffective forecasting and projection of sales while understanding key businesses risks and opportunities to add value to business planning cyclesBusiness Development and Management:
Meet and exceed annual volume, value, distribution and market share objectives of all brands across all channelsWork closely with the General Manager, Marketing department and Finance department heads on the development of business and portfolio strategies, yearly budgets and quarterly projectionsManage pricing, trade terms, product mix and price structures to ensure we meet and exceed profitability targetsLeads regular sales meetings and manage the entire sales organisationRepresents the company to make B-F top share of mind for key trade, wholesale and retail customersDevelop new business partnerships, channels, and distribution opportunitiesAssumes responsibility of daily sales issues, selling process and credit collection.Recommends actions to adapt to changes on a proactive basisOrganisational Development
Hiring and developing the entire Taiwan sales organisation from scratchDeveloping a sales organisational strategy that enables the company to deliver short, medium and long term resultsLeads the talent management and succession planning process for the sales organisationIn conjunction with HR. identifying and addressing capability gaps through appropriate training and development programsIntroduce and implement tools and processes to ensure continuous performance managementBusiness Analytics and Insights
Implement quality strategic planning via in-depth and ongoing analysis of external and internal threats and opportunitiesAssumes responsibility of drawing conclusive data from sales analysis and formulate corrective actions and recommendations if requiredKeeps the company informed of changing business, political and market conditions and be alert to key competitor activities, via effective market intelligence gathering and networkingProvides General Manager with regular business status reports encompassing sales, channel and brand developmentWhat You Bring to the Table
10 or more years in progressive sales management experience with proven track recordProven track record of P&L managementProven people’s leader at senior management levelProven Strategic visioning and planning experience for medium and long term plansDeep understanding of the spirits industry and the Taiwan market is a mustMulti-channel experience in FMCG - Key Accounts Management a mustSales Operations, including planning and analytics experience a definite added advantageWhat Makes You Unique
