He/She must combine the strategic nature of the role with hands-on executional excellence.
From a strategic perspective the role demands the development of multi-year business plans, channel and trade sales & profit plans plus the commission of shopper insight studies. From an executional perspective the Sales Manager is responsible that the sales plan is executed well in all channels, delivering the topline growth figures in Key Account calls and ensuring the merchandising standards in every store. The Sales Director drives the business based on conceptual sales proposals that generate a triple Win situation (customer-consumer-Red Bull). Category Management is at the core of his skills along with people management and passionate team building. Finally, the role requires alignment with regional and international stakeholders in order to input into and fully understand the international standards and expectations
