We are looking for a Sales Director - Meat role to join our team for Eastern European countries.
Key responsibilities• Responsible for delivering the budget numbers, in terms of volumes, revenue & margin, driving our growth in line with the Kerry Strategies, key strategic pillars (Taste, FPP & Meat. Alt) and foundational technologies.
• Manage and develop directly reporting sales team. Provide input to and ensure staff compliance with all applicable Kerry systems/processes. Responsible for team leadership covering objective setting, relevant KPIs, performance management and training and development including functional skill development.
• Develop a thorough understanding of Kerry Technologies, the reference market and its key players (customers, competitors, retailers, distributors, government bodies), underlying market trends and influences.
• Define a suitably focused and detailed commercial strategy. Prepare and agree a detailed three-year strategic business plan and keep it updated. Identify and prioritize new business and specific customer opportunities through internal and external networks, and through the sourcing and application of good market intelligence.
• Manage the Customer Relationship to build long lasting relationships at multiple levels(sales, technical, operations) between Kerry and the customer’s organization in the pursuit of long term, sustainable, profitable mutual benefit business
• Establish close working relationship with Research & Development key people, gaining assurance that they understand the vision developed for MEAT EUM in Mainland Europe markets, Customers, products and overall business strategy.
• Have a complete understanding of basic roles and responsibilities of each function within the team and the functional deliverables and objectives.
• Work with Finance Commercial people to assess business strategy alignment or changes for impact on the Mainland Europe sales levels in MEAT EUM.
• Enable sharing of relevant information to ensure that Customers’ interests are clearly understood and defended by other functions (sample turnaround, production scheduling, order delivery, etc) to provide best-in-class customer satisfaction and service.
Qualifications and skills
Leadership and People Management:
Lead the assigned sales team with responsibilities including talent management and people development . Provide input to and ensure staff compliance with all applicable systems/processes. Responsible for team leadership covering objective setting, relevant KPIs, performance management, and training and development .Commercial Acumen:
Make robust commercial decisions that optimize profitability, rooted in financial insights and the application of commercial levers across the P&L . Assess business strategy alignment or changes for impact on sales levels.Strategic Planning and Execution:
Develop a thorough understanding of technologies, the reference market, and its key players. Define a focused and detailed commercial strategy and prepare a three-year strategic business plan. Identify and prioritize new business and specific customer opportunities through internal and external networks.Customer Relationship Management:
Build long-lasting relationships at multiple levels between the company and the customer’s organization. Ensure customer satisfaction and service by sharing relevant information with other functions.Negotiation and Contracting:
Leverage appropriate value-based variables, service levels, and conditionality to reach mutually beneficial, sustainable contracts with customers. Further QualificationsSales Skills:
