Sales Director, Agency (OMG)

As Director, Agency Advertising Sales, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the advertising sales strategy, reporting to the Sr. Director of Agency Advertising Sales US & Canada. You will be accountable for delivering revenue targets by leveraging Netflix's unique audience insights, premium content offerings and cutting-edge advertising solutions — with a particular focus on growing our Omnicom holding company business. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the advertising ecosystem in the US, strong expertise in programmatic video advertising, an established network of relationships across both brands and agencies and a track record of delivering revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the advertising sales strategy to deliver revenue targets and exceed client expectations, across both direct and programmatic channels

Build and maintain strong relationships with key advertisers, agencies, and media stakeholders across Omnicom to secure partnerships and drive revenue growth.

Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities with existing and new clients.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of advertising campaigns.

Leverage Netflix's unique audience insights and premium content offerings to drive revenue growth.

Provide strategic guidance and leadership to a team of Sales Managers + Individual Contributors.  

Monitor market trends, competitor activity and identify opportunities for innovation.

We’re Looking for:

15+ years of experience in audience/ data driven advertising sales spanning across direct and programmatic, and at least 5+ years of managing people leaders of high-performing sales teams, with a proven track record of delivering revenue growth.

Deep understanding of the advertising ecosystem in the US market and an established network of relationships with advertisers and agencies

Experience in developing Brand + Performance advertising solutions for agencies and brands with a track record of delivery and revenue growth.

Strong understanding of the video  marketplace dynamics—and how these ecosystems are rapidly converging, including competitive streaming, broadcasters and programmatic partners 

Strong expertise in the programmatic ecosystem, including experience working with DSPs, SSPs, and advanced video buying strategies. 

Success in going to market with data-driven media insight and planning solutions through both first party solutions and direct integration work with agencies.

Depth of experience and unlocking revenue opportunity across strategic areas of the agency ecosystem across Planning, Analytics, Investment and Programmatic & Performance teams.

Strong analytical (strategic and creative) capabilities and judgment.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams and experience of building sales teams.

Experience in leading teams of Sales Managers + Individual Contributors.

Ability to work effectively and collaboratively cross‐functionally.

A deep curiosity about our global business and an ability to quickly build global IQ and an understanding of regional and cultural nuances 

A natural problem-solver who can work through challenges and navigate comfortably in ambiguity.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $380,000 - $900,000. A portion of this compensation is variable.

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off. Full-time salaried employees are immediately entitled to flexible time off.
