**Who You’ll Work With**
At Cisco Security, we are redefining the future of cybersecurity by delivering powerful protection for users, workloads, devices, and networks—wherever they are. Our team is our greatest asset, bringing together diverse skills, experiences, and perspectives to tackle one of the most pressing challenges of our time: transforming the security industry.
From creatives to analysts, from low-key to high-energy, we work together to build solutions that are simple, effective, trustworthy, and enduring. This is why Cisco is not just the most trusted name in cybersecurity—we’re also the most loved.
**What You’ll Do**
As an Outbound Sales Development Representative (SDR) supporting Cisco’s Velocity Security Sales team, you’ll join a dynamic group of motivated SDRs focused on building a qualified pipeline of potential customers. Your mission will be to connect with prospects and generate excitement for Cisco Security solutions using various channels, including phone, email, LinkedIn, and any other creative methods you can think of.
You’ll prospect into a wide variety of industries and customers, leveraging insights, internal relationships, and cutting-edge tools to uncover new opportunities. Collaborating closely with Inside Security Sellers and cross-functional teams, you’ll play a key role in driving impact and growing your territory.
But your role doesn’t stop at prospecting.
You’ll embark on an exciting journey to become a Cisco Security subject matter expert, gaining a deep understanding of our innovative solutions, including (but not limited to) Duo, Secure Access, XDR, Firewalls, and Identity Intelligence. In this role, you’ll build strong, trusted relationships both internally and externally, mastering the art of positioning solutions based on the value and outcomes they deliver—not just their features.
This is your opportunity to make a real impact, accelerate your career in cybersecurity, and help customers protect what matters most in an ever-evolving digital world.
But don’t worry—you won’t be doing it alone.
At Cisco, we set you up for success with a wealth of resources, including:
Sales Boot Camp and ongoing product training.
Opportunities to shadow and learn from security experts, including our Labs team.
A supportive group of mentors and teammates who will cheer you on every step of the way—all the way up to our CEO!
Are you ready to grow fast, learn even faster, and help shape the future of cybersecurity? Let’s go.
**Who You Are**
You’re tenacious, driven, and thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
You have a hunter mentality and are always looking for the next opportunity to make an impact.
You want to be part of one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies in the world and are confident in your ability to influence its success.
You have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding ambitious (but achievable) targets.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Recent graduate or upcoming graduate from a certification program, Boot Camp, Apprenticeship, Community College, or 4-Year University.
+ 1-2 years of sales and/ or lead-generation experience in a high-tech or SaaS company.
+ Fluent in English.
+ Authorized to live and work in the country where you are applying, without visa sponsorship or support.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience and/ or interest in outbound prospecting specifically within the cybersecurity space.
+ Experience with cold-calling or prospecting for new customers.
+ Experience using CRM tools like Salesforce (SFDC), HubSpot, or similar platforms.
**Why Cisco**
\#WeAreCisco, where each person is unique, but we bring our talents to work as a team and make a difference powering an inclusive future for all.
We embrace digital, and help our customers implement change in their digital businesses. Some may think we’re "old" (40 years strong) and only about hardware, but we’re also a software company. And a security company. We even invented an intuitive network that adapts, predicts, learns and protects. No other company can do what we do - you can’t put us in a box!
But "Digital Transformation" is an empty buzz phrase without a culture that allows for innovation, creativity, and yes, even failure (if you learn from it.)
Day to day, we focus on the give and take. We give our best, give our egos a break, and give of ourselves (because giving back is built into our DNA.) We take accountability, bold steps, and take difference to heart. Because without diversity of thought and a dedication to equality for all, there is no moving forward.
So, you have colorful hair? Don’t care. Tattoos? Show off your ink. Like polka dots? That’s cool. Pop culture geek? Many of us are. Passion for technology and world changing? Be you, with us!

All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco’s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter. Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
