This role is responsible for Lab Chemicals sales and market development in Rest of Asia Pacific region and working closely with the commercial team to achieve the financial goals. Primary responsibility is to develops strategic plans for a business to ensure its continued growth and profitability. Also oversees the development of strategic market/product line business plans to support sales in designated market segments. The candidate will identify and interprets trends and patterns in relevant datasets to locate influences and provide recommendations and tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. This candidate will also be involved in regional projects such as cross functional and vertical market approach sales to build business strategy for Chemicals business.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve sales objectives by providing support to the sales team through:
Determine the market potential for different product line
Build direct relationship with defined key accounts to drive growth
Market survey and having an in-depth knowledge of business products
Generate market research report and provide potential leads with regional sales managers
Inside sales activity including bulk quotation handling
Create direct presence business opportunities in specific market segments (Pharmaceutical, Biotech, etc.)
Liaise and coordinate with global product management team to maximize resources to build business proposal for the region
Collaborate with marketing team to develop necessary support and promotional plans to drive sales activities
Support key collaborations across other Thermo Fisher Scientific business to enhance the customer experience
Maintain and develop relationship with customers Requirements
Desired Skills and Experience
Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Application Sciences with strong records in team engagement and communication. (Other degrees with science background would also be considered)
5+ years of relevant experience in managing customers and sales and marketing in Laboratory Chemicals, Consumables or related industry
Good written and spoken English, with excellent communication skills
Excellent adaptability and aptitude in a diverse and sometimes remote working environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills to influence people in a matrix multi-culture organization environment
Ability to travel as needed
Proactive attitude and willing to learn
