Sales Development Account Executive

WOOD TV8 is seeking a driven, results-oriented Developmental Account Executive to join our high-performing sales team. This entry-level sales role focuses on generating leads, developing new business, and building strategic marketing partnerships that help local businesses grow.

You’ll work directly with potential clients to identify opportunities, propose solutions, and execute marketing strategies across both linear (TV) and digital platforms. This is a hands-on, full-cycle sales role where you’ll build your pipeline, learn from experienced leaders, and grow your skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Proactively identify and engage new business prospects through phone, email, LinkedIn, networking, and in-person outreach.Build and manage a robust pipeline of potential clients across various industries.Develop and present tailored marketing solutions using WOOD TV8’s full suite of broadcast and digital advertising products.Collaborate with internal teams to build strategic proposals and deliver effective campaign execution.Consistently meet or exceed activity goals, performance metrics, and revenue targets..Maintain accurate forecasting and client records using CRM tools.Support station and corporate initiatives; contribute to team success through additional duties as needed.

Skills & Experience:

Exposure to professional sales, media, or other related fields a plus.A passion for connecting with people and solving business challenges.Energetic self-starter, team-oriented, and focused on maintaining positive momentum.Strong organizational and communication skills.Quick adaptation of new tools, technology, and processes.Quick thinker, able to ask and answer questions with ease.Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
