Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Key job responsibilities
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and execution-focused Sales Compensation
Operations Analyst to join our team. In this role, you’ll own the day-to-day operations of sales
compensation, ensuring timely and accurate commission processing, clean data, and smooth plan execution. You’ll partner closely with Sales Operations, Finance, Payroll, and HR to support a
scalable and compliant sales compensation program.
Commission Operations & Administration
- Calculate and validate monthly/quarterly commissions in accordance with compensation plans
- Partner with Sales Ops, Finance, and Payroll to ensure accurate and timely payouts
- Maintain auditable records for commission processing and approvals
Data Management & Reporting
- Manage and validate key inputs (e.g., sales attainment, CRM activity, territory/quota changes)
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards to support visibility into compensation performance (e.g., attainment, accruals, earnings)
- Monitor data quality issues and proactively resolve discrepancies across source systems (Salesforce, HRIS, etc.)
Stakeholder Support & Issue Resolution
- Serve as the first line of support for commission inquiries, ensuring accurate, timely responses
- Work cross-functionally to troubleshoot and resolve exceptions or disputes
- Ensure clear documentation and tracking of resolution outcomes
Systems & Tools
- Support ongoing maintenance and improvement of compensation systems (e.g., Xactly, Anaplan, CaptivateIQ, Excel models)
- Partner with IT/RevOps to implement automation and system enhancements
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure adherence to compensation policies, audit requirements, and SOX controls (if applicable)
- Assist with audits, compensation letters, and documentation processes
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Basic Qualifications
- 4-8 years of experience in compensation, sales operations, finance, or payroll
- Experience with commission calculations or sales incentive administration
- Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, logical functions)
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with compensation tools (e.g., Xactly, CaptivateIQ, Anaplan, or equivalent)
- Extremely detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy
- Comfortable working with confidential information
- Able to manage deadlines and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- A collaborative team player with strong communication skills
- Analytical and process-oriented, always seeking opportunities for improvement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $169,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
