Responsibilities As a Category Manager on the Sam’s Club Team, you will deliver strategic insight in support of PepsiCo’s Beverage North America Sales Team. Specifically, this role will work to identify category trends, competitive threats, brand strategies and customer strategies to penetrate new and emerging opportunities. Primary responsibility of this role is to be a thought leader and “go-to” resource for all category, shopper and consumer trends, and merchandising solutions for the Customer Sales Team. Using POS, Syndicated, and Panel data, analyze category across markets, shoppers, and consumers to make business-building recommendations for both portfolio and category growth. Secondary responsibilities include leveraging multiple data sources to gain a deep understanding of consumer and shopper behavior and interactions across products, geographies, cohorts, and occasions. This analysis will be used to drive the Customer Team’s strategic planning process. Develop detailed analysis of category, PepsiCo and competitor performance including identifying drivers of sales and share changes Lead quarterly and annual cross-functional business reviews with a focus on identify opportunities for growth Utilize syndicated consumer and market data for the purposes of uncovering compelling insights Leverage shopper and consumer insights to develop compelling and relevant retailer sell stories. Integrate information from multiple sources and develop actionable insights and recommendations Keeps abreast of developments and best practices in category management. It is expected that you will pursue the knowledge needed to improve departmental capabilities and improve professional competence. Participate in account strategic planning process. Act as a strong, clear, objective, and inspiring voice of enterprise Customer Team Utilize both internal and 3rd party consumer/market trends and analyses to inform portfolio strategies for the Customer Team. Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $106,400 - $178,100. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process. Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually. Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.
