D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Sales Area Selling Manager. The right candidate is responsible for managing the sales process, hiring, training, managing and motivating sales staff in a specific geographic area while providing excellent customer service. The Sales Area Selling Manager continuously sources new customers, helps customers find and design their dream home, and ensures a smooth sales process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Recruit and hire future sales representativesTrain and motivate sales representativesMeet or exceed sales goals, and including selling and closing homes under area of responsibilityCreate new sales incentives for neighborhoodsConduct realtor outreach (realtor breakfasts, lunches, office presentations)Collaborate with marketing and division personnel on advertising campaignsIntroduce and promote marketing promotions to the sales representativesPerform competitive analysis on product, features and neighborhoods/amenitiesEffectively communicate DR Horton’s value proposition, product vision and capabilities to potential customersUncover and understand customer goals and challenges then establish DR Horton as the best solution availableOvercome objections and closes for the saleMaintains accurate documentation of transaction from sale through loan, options, and constructionContinually source new sales opportunitiesManages time efficiently to meet sales goals and works effectively with other members of the teamCreate and provide to management a marketing plan for establishing new customer relationshipsMaintain and expand database of prospectsDevelop and maintain good rapport with prospective customers, realtors, and team membersExecute policies to ensure compliance with quality standardsConduct sales meetings as necessaryConducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyAbility to travel overnight

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and four years sales experience or high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 6 years of sales experienceExcellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsProficient in CRM with capability of training and supporting sales team on usage and best practicesManage time efficiently to meet sales goals and works effectively with other members of the teamAbility to utilize DRH Sales applications on a smart phone, tablet, or laptopAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applicationsProficiency with MS Office and emailAbility to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision ability required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral visionRegular exposure to outside weather conditionsThe noise level is generally moderate
