Role Description
Smith and Nephew seeks Sales Area Manager in Ortho field to be based in Center/ South Italy and manage the regions of Lazio, Campania, Abruzzo, Molise, Basilicata, Calabria, Sicilia, Sardegna. The role will report to Sales Director Ortho Italy.
What will you be doing?
Define strategies and plans to meet Area sales targets developing and cultivating relationships with Area Key Opinion Leaders.
Sustainable Area growth Responsible, under the supervision of the Sales Director, for achieving the Area sales target as well as leading, developing, supervising, motivating and evaluating the sales force.
Responsible for recruiting end training new delegates/ agencies to create a strong and cohesive team.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Area Management
- Preparation and monitoring of the Area annual budget
- Develop and implement the right strategy to grow in a profitable and sustainable way
- Ensure that each delegate understands and follows the company policies and is adherent to the Company strategic plans
- Develop and manage sales force
- Monitor set profitability and warehouse costs
- Sales Plan and commission scheme for direct and indirect sales force with the sales Director
- Achievement of sales and profit objectives
- Strong relationship with key customers (KOLs).
- Internal stakeholders cooperation (Marketing, Supply chain, Customer Service, Tender Office, Medical Education) to implement plans
What will you need to be successful?
Experience:
Experience in ortho market
Health Degree, Master or Equivalent
People Management
Fluent English and Proficient/Native Italian
Competences:
Management: Leadership to ensure specific needs with the overall strategy. Communication: Good communicator, active listening, empathy. Influencer. Teamwork: Team player, coordination and cohesion with the rest of the team members. Ability to motivate and coach sales representatives
Physical Demands:
Travel Requirements: 70%
