Job in a nutshell:
In this role, you will ensure compliance with sales and use tax regulations, conduct accurate reporting, and support business operations with tax-related analysis and guidance. You will play a key part in minimizing tax risks and optimizing processes within the organization.

 

What will you be doing:
• Prepare and file sales and use tax returns on a timely basis for multiple jurisdictions utilizing Vertex tax software.
• Perform tax research and keep up to date on changes in state and local sales and use tax laws.

• Reconcile tax accounts and ensure accurate reporting in compliance with regulations.
• Conduct audits of sales and use tax transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal departments to address tax-related issues and assist in business decision-making.
• Maintain tax exemption certificates and other documentation required for compliance.
• Respond to inquiries and manage communication with state and local tax authorities.
• Support tax planning initiatives and contribute to process improvements.

 

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1 - 2 years of accounting experience (preferably in tax compliance).• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent English communication skills to interact with stakeholders and authorities effectively.
