Sales Account Manager – Protein - Remote

Position Summary:
The function of the Sales Account Manager is to own, develop and grow existing and new Plant Based Protein customers in North America ( US and Canada)
Job Responsibilities: Specific responsibilities include, but not limited to:Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the assigned market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitabilityPrepares action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospectsInitiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets according to the strategic roadmapAssists in the development and implementation of marketing and trade show plans relative to their assigned market segmentProvides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit marginMaintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, activity reports and contract balancesAbility to call on R&D/technical groups to sell value-added ingredients with ability to sell solutions based on stated needs of a technical audienceCalculates and assembles quotes to customers and negotiate as necessary to secure contracts.Provide detailed reporting to the Vice-President of Sales through the use of Sales Force and other communication toolsControls expenses to meet budget guidelinesAdheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codesMaintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of customer satisfactionJob Requirements:An undergraduate degree is required, preferably in a Technical discipline, MBA or related advanced degree desirable Four(4) or more years of successful sales history with proteins in the food& beverage industry, knowledge of ingredient and/or flavor sales is a plus.Proven track record of success building new and existing relationships with key customers for Plant Proteins, including those in key strategic decision-making positions at headquarter level.Superior strategic and tactical business planning skillsStrong problem recognition and resolution skills.Motivated and self-directed sales professional that can operate within proper guidelinesExceptional communication skills, presentation, negotiation and management skills, strong work ethic, positive attitude and professional demeanor required Aptitude for working both as, team member, a team leader, and autonomouslyAdvanced MS Office skills and advanced networking and relationships in the industryExcited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
