Sales - Account Manager - JP
Job Summary: The Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth by promoting and selling Drew Marine’s products, systems, and services to clients within a defined territory or market segment—such as shipowners, managers, and operators. This role combines technical expertise with strong commercial acumen to develop long-term customer relationships, identify new opportunities, and manage the complete sales cycle in alignment with company objectives. Success in this role requires proactive account management, disciplined execution of the Sextant sales process, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver value-added solutions that support customer operations and maximize company performance. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: + Proactively promote Drew Marine’s full portfolio of products and services to key stakeholders across assigned accounts and territories. + Lead and manage opportunities and deals through the Drew Marine Sextant sales process, ensuring each stage is completed with accuracy, alignment, and internal collaboration. + Develop and execute strategic account plans and customer engagement strategies to drive revenue and meet or exceed annual sales targets. + Prepare, submit, and follow through on proposals, tenders, and quotations, ensuring commercial and technical alignment with customer needs. + Establish and maintain strong customer relationships by providing timely responses, technical support, and value-added solutions. + Conduct tailored sales presentations for both existing and prospective clients, aligned with customer challenges, value equation and Drew Marine's value proposition. + Identify and qualify new business opportunities within assigned territory or market segment to expand the customer base. + Analyze account performance and pipeline, including historical sales, current activities, and forward-looking forecasts. + Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date records in the CRM system for all customer interactions, opportunities, and deal progress. + Collaborate closely with technical, service, and marketing teams to ensure consistent customer support and sales enablement. + Monitor market dynamics and competitor activity to defend existing business and identify growth opportunities. + Prepare concise monthly reports summarizing key account activity, pipeline status, and sales progress for management review. + Actively participate in internal sales meetings, technical training, and strategic planning sessions. + Ensure full compliance with company policies, values, and strategic priorities in all business conduct. + Perform other duties and contribute to cross-functional projects as assigned. Required / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills: + Demonstrated success in B2B technical or industrial sales, preferably within the marine, chemical, or engineering sectors. + Familiarity with structured sales methodologies, with specific experience managing opportunities using tools such as Drew Marine’s Sextant system. + Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. + Excellent organizational and time management capabilities across multiple accounts and priorities. + Proficiency with CRM systems and digital sales platforms. + Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and functions. + Results-oriented, self-driven, and committed to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction Education/Certifications: + Bachelor's degree in Marine, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering and up to 4 years of experience in a technical or commercial sales role. + Valid driver’s license preferred Conditions of Employment: + Must pass a pre-employment background check + Must pass occupational health screening Physical Working Environment: This position requires travel (amount of travel varies depending on region).
