Sales Account Executive, Uber Eats Kenya
**About the Role** The Kenyan UberEats Sales Team is focused on growing our restaurant footprint across Kenya, unlocking new cities and underserved markets. As an Account Executive, you'll connect high-potential local restaurants with the UberEats platform, showing them how delivery can drive real growth for their businesses. You’ll have a direct impact on shaping our marketplace and helping small businesses thrive. The AE manages the entire sales process, from prospecting and initial contact to closing the deal and achieving the first order (first trip) with Uber. This role involves developing and maintaining a strong relationship with the account, thoroughly understanding their business needs, and guiding them through the commercial negotiation process. The AE is the main point of contact for the account and plays a key role in ensuring their expectations are met throughout the sales journey. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure that the proposals and solutions presented align with the client’s requirements and deliver the best possible outcome. Your goal is to drive revenue while ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnership. **What You'll Do** - Leverage prospecting skills and relationships to build partnerships with the top-tier restaurants across strategically selected markets. - Manage contract negotiations aimed at establishing the foundation of a strong working relationship with our restaurant partners, including sustainable economics for both parties. - You will manage the entire sales cycle, encompassing cold calls, pitching, negotiation, onboarding, and supporting the restaurant through its first month on the platform. You will also clearly communicate the value of Uber Eats and its newest products to prospective partners. - Coordinate restaurant activation by working with our onboarding team to ensure a smooth restaurant experience and keep in touch with your recently signed restaurants to ensure a great start on the platform. - Be responsible for the full restaurant partner performance in the first 28-day merchant lifetime, helping coach and develop merchant in order to maximise in store productivity. **Basic Qualifications** - 1+ year sales experience (inside or field) with a proven track record of hitting or exceeding targets. You are results-oriented, proactive, and highly motivated. You hustle until you get the job done! - You also possess strong persuasion and interpersonal skills, allowing you to identify and provide comprehensive solutions for varying customer needs. - You have strong time management and organizational skills, enabling you to effectively manage a high-volume sales pipeline. - You are a team player who brings a positive spirit and energy, contributing to a great culture within a fast-paced environment. - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in sales, business, marketing, or a related field. **Preferred Qualifications** - Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and onboarding for restaurants in markets across Kenya. - You have excellent communication skills, with the ability to adjust your communication style to a wide variety of audiences. - You are adept at managing your own time and possess clear prioritization skills. - Working knowledge of Google applications (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets) and familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC) and/or other CRM systems beneficial. - Experience in the food delivery or hospitality industry is beneficial.
