Position Purpose:
Prepares and make salads, sandwiches, and other cold food items for patient feeding, special functions, and to supplement cafeteria needs. Portions dessert items for patient feeding. Maintains all work areas and related storage areas in a safe, sanitary condition.
What you will do:
Prepares salads, sandwiches, and other cold food side items for patient feeding using approved recipes and procedures including modified diet recipes.Assists in the preparation of cafeteria salad type items as required.Prepares special function salad and other cold food items including meat, cheese, and fruit platters.Assures that all products prepared in the salad area meet quality standards.Maintains productivity to assure that food service needs are met.Cleans and preps all produce items for use in salad area, cafeteria, and Café 299.Prepares sliced meats and salad mixes for Cafeteria, Café 299, and patient feeding.Delivers meal trays to patient rooms.Maintains salad area and related storage areas including salad walk-in refrigerator in a safe, sanitary condition.Follows safe food handling procedures to assure food wholesomeness at all times.Working Conditions:
Requires prolonged standing, walking, or other constant physical movements.Requires frequent lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs. Requires working with knives and automatic slicing and chopping machines. Requires going in and out of walk-in refrigerators frequently.Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to read and follow directions. Requires a minimum of six months but less than one year of experience on this or related jobs.Position Highlights and Benefits:
