Job Summary
The Safety Trainer will help develop and deliver safety and health training programs for all Company projects. This person will provide support to the Training Manager to ensure projects are properly trained and will provide safety support on jobs as needed.
Essential Functions
Create, develop, and present safety-training programs as assigned to include specialized, recertification, new hire orientation, and procedural sessions Communicate Spanish and English presentations Ensure all training records are well documented and properly filed Be instrumental in the assistance of correcting unsafe conditions Interact with craft personnel, supervision, and management to disseminate safety informationThis job summary is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals assigned to this position. Required Skills & Experience
High school diploma (or GED equivalency) is required; Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred 3+ years of experience developing and implementing job site safety training programs in construction and/or engineering Effective communication and presentation ability in Spanish and English is essential Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Average to advanced knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook Frequent overnight travel (60%-75%) Work independently as well as part of a team Must be capable, licensed, and approved to drive a company pick-up truck or similar vehicle to work sites, offices, and other locations as required to perform job duties Must be able to climb up and down ladders and scaffolding to gain access to work and walk on uneven surfaces throughout the construction siteBenefits and EOE
