Responsible for administrative and safety related support activities, under the direction of the Safety Manager, to monitor, administer, implement, maintain and report on the location's risk management, safety, and related compliance programs. 
Works closely with the safety manager, as directed, through meetings, emails and phone calls to ensure that all required information is collected and reported accurately and timely.

Position Responsibilities:May assist with safety incident/accident investigations, documentation and reporting.Prepares, maintains and distributes reports, as assigned, on a periodic basis for all safety programs, including newsletters, perform training,OSHA, CS STARs, safety committees, worker's comp, audits and others as needed.Conduct training and safety observations as required, also assists with online training program (UKG), including maintaining schedule and assigning safety training, preparing reports, and assisting operating company personnel with questions. May provide support during the new hire safety orientation.Assists with DOT compliance activities, including reports, follow-up and gathering data for audits, random testing, post injury/accident testing and related programs/processes.Understands and enforces compliance with all Company safety policies and procedures. May be involved in providing associate training to ensure compliance with all related programs and policies.Responsible for improving all key metrics including lost days from work, severity/frequency, Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) recordable incidents, accidents per million miles, safety audit scores, safety training and other related areas or measures.Monitors safety programs and implement changes necessary to ensure the health and safety of our associates. Maintains 100% safety training completion rate for the entire Operations Department.Responsible for developing, implementing and/or administering fleet safety and occupational health and safety programs to ensure applicable legal compliance. Creates and maintains a safe and secure working environment.Responsible for counseling of and documentation of all associates in accordance with company policy.Performs other related duties as assigned.
