About this Role The Safety Specialist position at PJ Helicopters supports the administration of various safety systems within the company to support all operations to include Flight Ops, Ground Ops, and Maintenance Ops with training and readiness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety operations within the aviation industry or motor carrier industry. What You'll Do + Data Entry and Reporting: Assist in the management of Origami and Cirro incident management system, including data validation, generating weekly and monthly reports if applicable, and performing user troubleshooting. You would compile data for safety meetings, internal reporting, and external systems like ISNetworld, Veriforce, Avetta, and VERO. Support the generation of safety performance reports and assist with trending analysis to identify areas for improvement. + Learning Management Support: Assist in the management of LITMOS, the company’s Learning Management System (LMS) by assisting with training programs, training data entry, data validation, user management, and troubleshooting. + SMS-Assists the Director of Safety (DOS) in implementation and execution of the SMS in accordance with the guidance contained in Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) 14 CFR Part 5,Advisory Circular (AC) 120-92B and ICAO 9859 and IBAC ISBAO Protocols. + Safety Programs- Help to review and ensure safety programs are current with CalOSHA Title 8 Regulations. + Safety Training-Help to review and oversee web-based safety training to crew members and verify completion to ensure team members are properly qualified. Conduct in person training for crew members in specific safety training as needed. + First Aid/CPR/AED-Oversee company portal for training and ensure team members are properly trained on an initial and biannual basis. Conduct First Aid/CPR/AED training as needed for team members. + AED Management: Support AED management by ensuring that devices are tracked, properly maintained, and fully operational. This may include monitoring their location, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. + PPE/Safety Supplies-Oversee company portal for company FR clothing account, maintain and stock safety supply inventory to include PPE, First Aid, AEDs, etc. + Vehicle Safety Program- Support tracking with the Verizon Connect Fleet Management Software and Lytx Driver Safety Program in conjunction between Fleet Departments. + Assist with onboarding safety tasks of new team members in partnership with Human Resources, Training, Flight Operations, Maintenance Operations, Ground Operations. + Assists with other administrative tasks to include learning about accidents, incidents, near misses, or good catches. + Communicate daily with the Director of Safety to provide department and program status updates. + This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one-hour lunch from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Overtime may be required, and occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. + What You'll Bring + High school Diploma or GED. Associate’s degree or greater preferred. + At least 1 year of administrative or data entry + OSHA 10/30 + At least 1 year of safety experience in aviation, manufacturing, or transportation. + Experience within the aviation industry + Strong attention to detail while performing duties with a high degree of accuracy. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. + Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. + Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
