Scheduled Shift: Thursday Through Monday 11:30PM-8:30AMTuesdays & Wednesdays OFF
Position SummaryThe Safety & Security Advisor is responsible for providing a safe and secure living and working environment for students and staff. This position assists in investigating accidents and incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing preventive measures to reduce future occurrences. The role requires vigilance, sound judgment, and proactive engagement to ensure a secure campus environment in compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
+ Maintain a safe and secure campus for students, staff, and visitors.
+ Monitor student and staff activities to ensure compliance with safety, security, and conduct standards.
+ Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, and safety concerns; recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
+ Conduct regular inspections of campus facilities to identify safety hazards and security risks.
+ Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, incidents, and security alerts.
+ Collaborate with staff from all departments to promote a safe and orderly environment.
+ Provide training and guidance to students and staff on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
+ Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of incidents, investigations, and safety inspections.
+ Uphold confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
+ Operate vehicles as needed to support safety and security operations, in compliance with company insurability requirements.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned by the Safety & Security Manager or Center Director.

Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced degree preferred.
+ Job Corps or related program experience preferred.
+ Valid in-state driver’s license and ability to meet company insurability standards.
+ Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, or assess load and seek assistance as necessary.
+ Physical ability to perform duties requiring sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling/pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching.
+ Strong observation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
+ Ability to work collaboratively and maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.
