Responsibilities The Safety Professional is responsible for oversight of Project Safety, Health (S&H), and Risk Management, effectively managing multiple Safety programs. Developing and implementing M.C. Dean site-specific project safety plans and collaborating with Project Management in the implementation and leadership of the Operational Risk Management (ORM) process. Provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, and practical. Key Responsibilities: + Develop and implement health & safety policies, procedures, and training for projects. + Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety Executive (HSE) regulations, as well as international and regional laws. + Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to maintain a safe working environment. + Provide expert guidance on construction, manufacturing, and operational safety protocols. + Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. + Collaborate with local teams to drive a strong safety culture and continuous improvement. + Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, and contractors on health & safety matters. + Monitor and report safety performance metrics and ensure alignment with corporate objectives. + Support business continuity planning and emergency response strategies. Qualifications **Clearance/Citizen Type:** No Clearance Needed **Education/Experience:** + HS Diploma with 8+ years of applicable experience or + 6+ years with an Associate's Degree or + 2+ years with a Bachelor's Degree. + Experience conducting S&H training. + NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent, CSP ASP, CHST). + Chartered Membership (CMIOSH) of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) preferred + Experience in health & safety management across international projects + Strong knowledge of UK HSE regulations, ISO 45001/ 9001, and regional legislation in EMEA & APAC + Experience in risk management, accident investigation, and compliance audits + Proven ability to develop and deliver safety training programs + Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills + Ability to adapt to different cultural and regulatory environments + Previous electrical / construction / industrial /federal and commercial S&H experience **What we offer:** + A collaborative team inspired by the way engineering and innovation enhance customer outcomes, improve lives, and change the world for the better.
