The position is designated as part-time and primarily day shift. **The work schedule will include at least 64 hours per 2-week pay period** . The position is initially eligible for a full employer contribution towards health and dental insurance benefits. **Minimum Qualifications** _Please ensure that your resume/application clearly describes your experience in the areas listed below and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held._ *Two years of experience in the Environmental Health and Safety field which demonstrates at least two of the following: + Developing and auditing safety programs + Navigating workers' compensation programs + Promoting health and wellness programs + Occupational health and safety regulations *NOTE: A bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Risk Management/Control, Occupational Safety, Safety Management/Science, Safety Engineering, or a closely related field may substitute for one year of experience. **AND** The successful candidate must also demonstrate: + Knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental health regulations (for example, applicable Occupational Safety & Health Agency (OSHA), Minnesota OSHA, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), and National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA). + Communication skills sufficient to conduct investigations and present progress reports. + Ability to implement and present training programs on safety and health issues. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). + Experience working in a healthcare or long-term care facility. + Experience conducting inspections, determining compliance, and enforcing adherence to OSHA laws and regulations. + Knowledge in the operation of security camera systems. + Knowledge of Minnesota Department of Health regulations. + Knowledge in emergency preparedness and management. **Additional Requirements** This position requires successful completion of the following: + A Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check may be conducted on the top finalist(s) for this position. When conducted, the finalist must pass the DHS background check. + A Tuberculosis (Mantoux) Screening (or chest x-ray) is required prior to employment. + Employment reference checks will be conducted on finalists. This may include a review of documentation related to job performance and contact with the applicant's former employer(s).
