We are currently looking for a Safety Manager to join our Owner's Rep team in Redgranite, WI with Data Center experience.
Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Manager to oversee and enforce all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and protocols for new data center construction. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, as well as client-specific safety standards, throughout the lifecycle of the project.
+ Develop, implement, and manage the site-specific safety plan (SSSP) in accordance with OSHA, client standards, and corporate safety policies.
+ Lead safety briefings, toolbox talks, and conduct site safety orientations for all new workers and contractors.
+ Perform routine site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments; document findings and ensure timely corrective actions.
+ Act as the primary on-site contact for all incident response, investigation, and reporting processes.
+ Coordinate with construction managers, project managers engineers, and contractors to ensure all operations are performed safely and in compliance.
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all safety-related documentation, including JSAs, incident logs, PPE usage, and permits.
+ Oversee the safe installation and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and IT infrastructure systems specific to data centers.
+ Support compliance with environmental regulations and fire/life safety requirements for critical infrastructure.
+ Facilitate periodic HSE training programs, including working at heights, lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and electrical safety.
+ Report KPIs and safety metrics to corporate leadership and the client.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or a related field.
+ 5+ years of safety management experience on large-scale construction projects; data center construction experience preferred.
+ Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926, NFPA, and ANSI standards.
+ Relevant certifications such as CHST, CSP, or OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification.
+ Experience with mission-critical facilities, including MEP systems, generators, and UPS systems is highly advantageous.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work in high-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.
+ Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Familiarity with contractor safety management platforms (e.g., ConstructSecure, ISNetworld).
+ Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
+ Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
