Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join the Manufacturing Team in IKenosha, WI. This key role supports Manufacturing and Engineering teams in achieving safety performance excellence. The EHS Manager is expected to be a forward-thinking leader who prioritizes employee safety and drives EHS initiatives across the facility, positioning Legrand Kenosha with a competitive advantage through enhanced responsiveness and safety culture.
Main Job Duties
+ Design and implement health and safety plans aligned with OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory standards.
+ Create and enforce company policies that promote a safe and compliant work environment.
+ Lead the development of short- and long-term safety and environmental programs, including emergency response and evacuation procedures.
+ Lead and coordinate ongoing safety training programs to ensure employee awareness, engagement, and understanding of best practices.
+ Perform routine safety audits, workplace inspections, and equipment evaluations to ensure compliance and identify risks.
+ Ensure ISO documentation is current and that teams meet all required standards.
+ Investigate workplace accidents or near misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
+ Partner with teams on workers' compensation claims and maintain all required safety records and files.
+ Recommend and implement measures to reduce occupational hazards and improve overall safety performance.
+ Monitor day-to-day safety practices and enforce adherence to policies and procedures.
+ Report on key safety metrics, trends, and areas for improvement to leadership.
+ Provide proactive guidance to leadership on adjustments or enhancements to safety strategies.
+ Work closely with Value Stream Managers to deliver consistent safety messaging and training.
+ Foster a strong safety culture by encouraging cross-functional teamwork and continuous improvement.
+ Ensure that employees, operations, and assets are protected and that all reported hazards are promptly addressed.
+ Proven capability to develop and execute on the Environmental, Health and Safety function with clear links to the company’s goals
+ Demonstrated success in building and sustaining high-performing safety programs through leveraging and developing talent in Legrand Kenosha leaderships as well as the safety committee team
+ Demonstrated interpersonal skills, honed through leading teams and mitigating conflict
+ Ability to drive complex change and manage key stakeholders
+ Exceptional analytical skills as demonstrated through a history of generating and implementing elegant solutions to complex problems
+ Identifies and establishes leading indicators to provide advanced notice and time to plan for any changes
+ Strong customer focus combined with a strong commitment to continuous improvement
Qualifications
Qualifications
Eduation:
+ Bachelor´s degree in Safety Management, Engineering, Basic or Applied Science, Environmental Science, or any other related subject
Experience:
+ 5-7 years of safety program management experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
+ Worker’s compensation a plus.
+ Knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards as it relates to industrial manufacturing
