Job Title: Safety Lead

Job Description

The Safety Lead will be responsible for assisting in the implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of safety programs. This role will focus on ensuring a safe work environment for all employees, promoting a proactive safety culture, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for safety to grow their career within the ink sector.

ResponsibilitiesAssist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's safety programs and procedures.Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety policies.Provide feedback to supervisors and managers regarding safety program performance and employee engagement in safety practices.Help manage safety-related systems, including personal protective equipment (PPE), safety data sheets (SDS) according to OSHA, and accident reporting documentation.Essential SkillsExperience as a Safety Coordinator or Specialist, open to various industries including inks, chemicals, food (FSQA), and pharma.Strong communication skills.Good math skills.Experience with food safety, food manufacturing, and environmental health and safety (EHS).Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong attention to detail.Team player mentality.Willingness to help in other areas.Work Environment

This role operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, with early shift hours from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. The Safety Lead is expected to arrive before others to ensure everything is ready for the day. The company offers a great growth opportunity for those looking to step into leadership roles. Being a small company, there is an opportunity for cross-training in various areas of interest.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $28.85/hr.
