This position will be located in either Willmar may have the flexibility to telework, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor
Under limited supervision, this position exists to assist in providing safety and health program leadership to District 8 so that incidents are managed, employees receive necessary training, audits are conducted to identify issues early and provide correction consultation, and numerous other safety activities.

**Minimum Qualifications**
+ One (1) year of professional level experience in the field of occupational health or safety.
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health and Safety, Emergency or Risk Management, or Industrial Hygiene (or closely related field) substitutes for one (1) year of experience.
+ Associate’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene (or closely related field) substitutes for six (6) months of experience.
Successful candidate resumes must also demonstrate:
+ Knowledge of federal and state occupational safety and health rules and regulations, ergonomics, techniques of injury prevention and hazard evaluation.
+ Experience developing and conducting safety training.
+ Ability to review and evaluate work environments sufficient to identify potential environmental health hazards, evaluating them sufficient to apply corrective measures.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Risk Management, or Industrial Hygiene.
+ Skill in Industrial safety and hygiene best management practices.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Experience utilizing EHS Health and Safety Software.
