Role: safety Engineer
Responsibilities:
1. shall develop an understanding of the System behavior within the intended system and environment of application
2. shall develop a safety plan and specify the essential tasks and activities for SIL 4 product development, agree this plan with the assessor
3. shall review the requirements against the intended environment/use
4. shall hazard identification and analysis;
5. Shall perform risk assessment and on-going risk management;
6. Shall perform risk acceptance criteria and reviewing risk acceptance;
7. Shall reviewing the effectiveness of risk reduction measures;
8. Shall perform the establishment and on-going review of the adequacy of the safety requirements
Key competencies:
1. shall be competent in the domain where safety engineering is carried out
2. shall be experienced in safety attributes of application’s domain (only for safety-related functions)
3. shall be capable of combining different sources and types of evidence and synthesize an overall view about fitness for purpose or constraints and limitations of the application
4. shall have analytical thinking ability and good observation skills
5. shall have an understanding of the overall system including its application environment
6. Shall be competent in FTA/FMEA/FMECA techniques
7. Shall be competent Risk Analysis and mitigation techniques
8. Shall be competent in \"top down\" (deductive methods) and \"bottom up\" (inductive methods) preliminary, worst case and in-depth analysis for simple and complex functional system structures
Work Experience
1. shall be competent in the domain where safety engineering is carried out
