Are you passionate about workplace safety and ready to make a real impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We’re looking for a Safety Engineer to join our team and lead safety initiatives across our die casting and machining operations facility. You’ll play a key role in identifying risks, implementing safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards as well as be part of our Global EHS team.
What You’ll Do:- Develop and enforce safety programs tailored to die casting and CNC machining processes.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of furnaces, machining centers, and material handling systems.
- Lead investigations of incidents and near-misses, conduct/lead root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and other safety regulations.
- Oversees and manages regulatory agency inspections
- Deliver training on PPE, lockout/tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, and emergency response.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to integrate safety into daily operations.
- Maintain safety documentation and monitor environmental conditions (air quality, noise, etc.).
- Assists with ergonomic assessments and provides support and advice for the continuous improvement of job processes
- Provide monthly metric and initiative updates to key site leaders
- Reviews capital projects and contract work to assure compliance with environmental and safety requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing safety role, preferably in die casting or machining.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, molten metal safety, and machine guarding.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Must have great communication, record keeping, and organizational skills
- Must have experience and understanding of Machine Guarding rules and regulations and be able to apply those to multi-faceted automated equipment processes
- Must have in depth experience and understanding of Lock Out, Tag Out rules and regulations and the ability to apply this understanding to a wide range of equipment
- Must be able to read and understand safety/environmental rules & regulations
- Must be able to conduct effective employee training programs
- Must be able to build relationships, exercise influence and lead change to meet EHS objectives
- Ability to work autonomously and be resourceful in problem-solving
- Certifications like CSP, ASP, or OSHA 30 are a plus.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ISO 45001, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma.
- Familiarity with industrial hygiene, Hazardous Waste management, Stormwater Management, etc.
- Ability to lead safety committees and drive cultural change.

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $79,000 to $104,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
To qualify for this position, former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.
