**Job Title:** Safety Coordinator
**Location:** Edmonton, AB
Our client, a leader in the petrochemical industry, is seeking a Safety Coordinator to join their team. As a Safety Coordinator, you will be part of the safety department supporting project operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a positive safety attitude which will align successfully in the organization.
**What's the Job?**
+ Lead daily safety meetings and ensure all safety processes are implemented.
+ Conduct on-site inspections to identify and evaluate hazardous conditions.
+ Assist in implementing contractor safety training for employee orientation programs.
+ Compile and analyze incident report data to develop corrective actions.
+ Participate in safety audits and provide constructive feedback to employees.
**What's Needed?**
+ 10+ years of experience in a Safety Coordinator role in the refinery or petrochemical industry.
+ Degree in health and safety related discipline and/or current CSP preferred.
+ Subject matter expertise in regulatory policies from OSHA, MSHA, NFPA, NEC, CGA, Alberta OHS.
+ Demonstrated experience in site auditing, assessment, and coaching.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
