**POSITION SUMMARY**
Fort Dodge, located just 90 minutes north of Des Moines, Iowa, is recognized as a regional hub for retail and recreation. As a member of the Health & Safety Department reporting to the Safety Manager, the Safety Coordinator is responsible for making decisions around day-to-day safety issues that may arise in the plant. The primary responsibilities of the Safety Coordinator are to manage all areas of the Safety Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Program, develop and deliver training encompassed around the Company’s core safety programs, and drive and audit corrective action and data driven programs.
+ Provide administrative support including data integrity, report generation, document maintenance (OSHA/Corporate Training Report Generation & Compliance Audits, Updating of local Standard Operating Procedures & Manuals, etc.).
+ Perform regular safety audits, including structural, equipment, chemicals, housekeeping and behavioral.
+ Maintain Safety Systems for SharePoint, Website Updates (Incident Report Generation/Action Follow Up, and other Corporate Report Generation Requirements)
+ Manage special projects such as Hearing Test Scheduling, Confined Space Audits / Walkthroughs with Fire Department, and Incident investigations as they arise.
+ Support relationship and associated administrative tasks (inventory with key vendors), etc
+ Develop and deliver safety related training, utilizing various tools for delivery.
+ Provide project management support, representing the safety department.
+ Contribute to the development of a culture of safety as a priority, leading by example and coaching and developing others (Safety Steering Committee, PEO Team, etc).
+ Follows Good Manufacturing Practices.
+ Supports the NCE (Nestlé Continuous Excellence) process and the North America Strategic Roadmap.
+ Works safely, models all safety practices and provides daily safety representation in required meetings and floor presence.
**Requirements**
+ High School diploma or GED
+ 1+ years’ experience in a safety or compliance role within a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment
The approximate pay range for this position is $46,000 - $68,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
