Job Description
The Construction Safety Coordinator works under the direction of the EHS Manager to support the implementation of safety policies and procedures on construction sites. This role is primarily responsible for delivering safety training to site personnel and collecting safety-related data in the field. The Safety Coordinator assists in ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards by gathering information, reporting potential hazards, and supporting the EHS Manager in promoting a safe work environment. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for effectively coordinating training sessions and maintaining accurate records.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in implementing the Safety Program.Provide different types of safety trainings, orientations, and ongoing education on safety protocols.Record keeping and documentation.Perform risk assessment and implement corrective action.Conduct incident investigation and documentation.Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.Effectively coordinate and communicate with cross-functional safety and management teams to ensure comprehensive safety alignment and implementation.Accompany and support injured employees, attend initial doctor appointments, and support them until they are released to full duty.Essential SkillsStrong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction.Excellent communication, training, and presentation skills.Ability to identify hazards and implement effective safety measures.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Technologically proficient.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or higher in occupational health and safety, construction management, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 1 year in commercial construction safety, with a grading or utilities background preferred.OSHA 30 required; OSHA 510 preferred.Additional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) are a plus.Bilingual (English/Spanish) is advantageous.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.04 - $34.00/hr.
