**Position Summary**
Our dry pet food factory, located just 10 miles from downtown, has been a production facility for over 50 years. As producers of iconic brands such as Dog Chow®, Puppy Chow®, and Beneful®, we contribute to the well-being of pets in the community and nationwide. As a Safety Coordinator, you will support the Safety Manager in executing policies and programs to ensure full compliance with Nestlé Purina PetCare's Safety Programs. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and delivering safety training programs, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and company requirements. You will organize safety events, manage safety supply systems, and oversee compliance documentation tracking. Additionally, you will serve as a key resource for all departments within the factory, effectively communicating essential safety information to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Maintain all safety documentation and procedures, compile and report monthly safety metrics, and maintain audit files in a constant state of readiness.
+ Order and restock safety supplies and PPE, manage records for safety equipment, and update the PPE vending system.
+ Review and update Behavior Based Safety data and maintain Safety Data Sheets and chemical inventory.
+ Assist in creating and distributing compliance training, track completion, maintain attendance records and oversee safety certification trainings.
+ Schedule and track medical testing and surveillance, including audiograms and respirator questionnaires.
+ Coordinate safety events, distribute training posters, and update communication boards.
+ Report Workers' Compensation incidents using the appropriate forms.
+ Review and process department invoices and update AMEX charges.
+ Serve as a safety resource and point of contact for other departments.
**Basic Qualifications:**
Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience **:** 1+ years of administrative and or customer service experience.
The approximate pay range for this position is $46,000-68,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
